Shanahan University is excited to welcome both returning and new students for the upcoming academic session. As we prepare for the start of a successful academic year, we would like to provide the following important updates:

Resumption Date and Reporting Location

All students are required to report to the temporary site located at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha, on Saturday, 12th October. This marks the official start of the academic session, with students expected to move into their designated hostels upon arrival.

Inaugural Mass with the Archbishop

The academic year will begin with a special Inaugural Mass, to be celebrated by the Archbishop. The Mass will take place on Monday, 14th October, at 10 AM. All students are expected to be present for this important spiritual event, which will set the tone for the year.

Payment of Fees

Students are reminded of the required fees for the new session. The breakdown of fees is as follows:

• Acceptance Fee: ₦40,000
• Result Verification: ₦10,000
• Medical Fee: ₦10,000
• Medical Exam Fee: ₦20,000
• ICT Fee: ₦30,000
• CBT/Exams Fee: ₦20,000
• Laboratory Fee: ₦45,000 (for all students in the Faculty of Basic Medical & Allied Sciences and Faculty of Natural & Applied Sciences)
• Tuition Fees: Please check the university website for scholarship options and specific tuition details.

Note: An online payment link will be made available before Saturday, 12th October. However, students are advised to return to campus on schedule even if they have not completed their payments online.

Permitted Items

To ensure a comfortable stay, students are allowed to bring small cupboards and kerosene stoves for cooking in the hostel.

Technology Requirements

As academic activities will heavily rely on digital resources, students are encouraged to come with a laptop. In the absence of a laptop, an Android/iOS smartphone is also acceptable to assist with studies.
